(BEIJING, February 22)-- Good Luck Beijing 2008 International Taekwondo Invitational Tournament will be held at the University of Science and Technology Beijing Gymnasium (USTB Gymnasium) from February 26 to 29, 2008.

Taekwondo teams from 27 countries and areas will participate in the four-day pre-Olympic event. The participating teams of the Tournament were all qualified to Beijing Olympic Games.

China taekwondo squad for the Tournament covers 29 players including many well-known names like women's 49kg world champion Wu Jingju and men's +80kg Liu Xiaobo from the host country.

In addition, world-class taekwondo players from taekwondo powerhouses Iran, Spain and the United States will take part in the forthcoming Tournament to compete for the gold.

Other big names include Iran's Mohammad Sattarpour of 58kg category, 68kg athlete Mark López from the United States and his brother Steven López (Grand Slam winner).
