Australia and China earn +67 & +80 bronzes

(Beijing, February 29) On the evening of the last day of the "Good Luck Beijing" 2008 Taekwondo International Invitational Tournament, the four bronze medal matches saw Australia's Camen Marton and China's Yang Ping beating their respective opponents to take the women's +67kg bronzes, and China's Wang Lin and Liu Xiaobo earning the men's +80kg bronzes.

Prior to that, in the women's +67kg repechage, China's Han Yingying trounced Aura Paez of Venezuela 8-0 and Yang Ping outscored Guadalupe Ruiz of Mexico 3-0, both making the bronze medal contests. As a result, Camen Marton outdid Han Yingying and Yang Ping defeated Dawani Nadin, with the identical result of 2-1, to claim the bronze medals.

In the men's over 80kg repechage, both Liu Xiaobo and Wang Lin of China advanced by withdrawals of Korea's Cha Dong Min and China's Yin Zhimeng.

In the following men's +80kg bronze medal fights, Wang Lin downed Spain's Mikel Bernal Fernandez 5-3 to grab the medal. The other bronze went to Liu Xiaobo, who won by withdrawal of teammate Zheng Yi.
